SCRANTON, Pa. - Senior Chris Keller (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) had a team high five points on two goals and three assists, but it was not enough as host Misericordia took an 8-7 overtime victory Saturday in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference men's lacrosse opener for both schools.

Keller also became the Hornets all-time leading scorer in the contest. With his assist on Elmer Baker (Fort Montgomery, N.Y./O'Neill) goal at the 4:15 mark of the second, Keller passed Shawn Scattergood '00 for the all-time points lead at SU.

Keller entered the game tied with Scattergood's 152 career points. Now the holder of the all-time mark, Keller will now set his sights on hitting triple digits in career assists. He currently has 97.

Misericordia (1-2, 1-0) won the game on Nicholas Sisca's goal with less than one minute to go in the first sudden victory overtime. Sisca took a feed from Matt Rowland, dodged two SU defenders and stuck his bounce shot past Hornets keeper JD Killian (Stafford, Va./North Stafford).

Sisca's goal also ended contest that saw the two team separated by no more than three goals and was tied for the final three minutes of the contest. Shenandoah (0-3, 0-1) never led, but fought back from 3-0 and 7-4 deficits to give itself a chance to win in the overtime period.

In addition to Keller's five points, Baker had three goals and sophomore Keith Reynolds (Bear Mountain, N.Y./O'Neill) two.

Killian had five saves after relieving starter Dave Behan (Holtsville, N.Y./Sachem) midway through the third quarter.

A box score for this game will be posted pending receipt of the game statistics from the host institution.

Shenandoah is back in action Wednesday evening for a non-conference game against King's (Pa.). Game time at Shentel Stadium is 7:00 pm.
