READING, Pa. - Junior Chris Keller (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) scored a second best ever at Shenandoah eight goals to lead the Hornets to a 14-4 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference victory over Alvernia College Tuesday afternoon.
Shenandoah (2-4, 1-1) now has won two straight games since starting the season on a four-game losing streak.
Keller, who became the all-time leading scorer at SU 10 days ago, just missed the record of nine goals in a game set by Matt Burton '02. Burton set this record last season in a 25-1 PAC win at College Misericordia.
In addition to Keller's nine points, Keith Reynolds (Bear Mountain, N.Y./O'Neill) had two goals and three assists and Elmer Baker (Fort Montgomery, N.Y./O'Neill) a goal and three assists.
