RADNOR, Pa. - Cabrini College used a four goal spurt to start Saturday's Pennsylvania Athletic Conference game Saturday with visiting Shenandoah and cruised to a 19-2 victory.
Cabrini (7-3, 3-0 PAC) led 6-1 after the first quarter, expanded that lead to 9-1 by halftime and then pulled away by scoring all nine goals in the third quarter.
Shenandoah (2-8, 0-4) got a first period goal from junior Elmer Baker (Fort Montgomery, NY/O'Neill) and one in the fourth from classmate James Hernandez (Blue Ridge Summit, Pa./HCC).
JD Killian (Stafford, Va./North Stafford) made six saves in his first start of the season. He played the first 44 minutes before giving way to John Schaefer (Stafford, Va./Colonial Forge).
The Cavaliers outshot SU 43-13 and scooped up 55 groundballs to the Hornets 33. The also won 15 of the game's 25 face-offs.
