Softball Drops Pair

WINCHESTER, Va.- The softball team continued its struggle in conference play on Saturday afternoon, dropping the first game of the Dixie doubleheader to Chowan 7-0 before falling in the second 13-0. 

The Braves (18-6, 9-0) capitalized on 21 hits as the Hornets (3-14, 0-11) managed only three hits and committed 11 errors in the two contests. 

The lone standout hitting performance for Shenandoah was that of Jennifer Jones (Radiant, Va./Madison) who had two hits in three at-bats in the first game; Jodi Milburn (Winchester, Va./Lord Fairfax C.C.)had the only hit for the Hornets in game two. 

Gina Riemenschneider (Winchester, Va./James Wood) took the loss in game one and Caroline Crocker (Stanardsville, Va./William Monroe) took the loss in game two.

Shenandoah hosts NC Wesleyan Sunday afternoon in another Dixie Conference doubleheader beginning at noon.
