WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's softball team continued its strong start to the 2005 season with a doubleheader split against Frostburg State Thursday afternoon.
Shenandoah (1-1) took game one 8-5 before the Bobcats (2-3) came back to win 11-4 in the nightcap.
The Hornets banged out 11 hits in the game one victory; SU took a lead it would not relinquish with a six-run second inning. Up 6-1 after getting the six runs on six hits, Shenandoah answered a four-run FSU rally in the fourth with three more in the bottom of the frame.

Teresa Prezzy drove in three runs on a 1 for 3 afternoon.
Chapman also earned the win on the mound by giving up five runs on 10 hits in six innings of work. She also struck out four.
SU looked to be in prime position to gain the sweep after scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning of game two, but Frostburg rallied with two runs in each of the next two innings to take a 5-3 lead. After the two teams then traded single runs in the fourth, FSU seized control with a three-run fifth.
