DOVER, Del. - Wesley College erased a one-goal deficit with a strong second quarter on its way to a 21-9 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference men's lacrosse victory over visiting Shenandoah Saturday University afternoon.
Shenandoah (0-6, 0-3) led 4-3 after 15 minutes of play, but saw the Wolverines (7-3, 2-0) erupt for nine goals in the second quarter.
Seven of these goals came consecutively as WC answered a 4-0 SU run to finish the first with the spurt from the 12:31 to 5:22 marks.

Stephen Mayor, who led all scorers with eight goals, finally stopped the bleeding with his unassisted man-up goal with 4:17 remaining. Wesley would sandwich aÂ
Teddy Rogers goal at 3:26 to take a 12-6 lead into halftime.
This lead became seven after the hosts got a Rick Shafer goal 45 seconds into the third, but Mayor scored two consecutive to bring Shenandoah to its closest deficit, 13-8, with 10:02 remaining.
The Wolverines then pulled away with another 5-0 run.
WC outshot the Hornets 43-13 for the game and also scooped up 35 of the game's 54 groundballs and won 19 of 27 faceoffs.
