OBERLIN, Ohio - Homestanding Oberlin College used a big second quarter to key a 19-6 non-league men's lacrosse victory over visiting Shenandoah University Saturday afternoon.

Leading 5-2 after the first 15 minutes of play, Oberlin (3-7) scored the first six goals of the second quarter to take a commanding 12-3 lead at the break.

Shenandoah (2-8) snapped what was a seven-goal OC run with a Ben Page goal off of a Tim Streyle assist with 1:33 to play in the second. 

The Yeomen and Hornets split six goals in the third before the hosts tallied the only four goals of the fourth.

Junior Justin Ratcliff had three of Shenandoah's six goals while Page, Paul Evancoe and Stephen Mayor had one each. Evancoe also added two assists.

Oberlin outshot SU 60-20, had 65 of the game's 95 groundballs and won 18 of 26 face-offs.

The Hornets lone bright spot came on extra-man, where they converted three of five opportunities.
