OBERLIN, Ohio - Homestanding Oberlin College used a big second quarter to key a 19-6 non-league men's lacrosse victory over visiting Shenandoah University Saturday afternoon.
Leading 5-2 after the first 15 minutes of play, Oberlin (3-7) scored the first six goals of the second quarter to take a commanding 12-3 lead at the break.

The Yeomen and Hornets split six goals in the third before the hosts tallied the only four goals of the fourth.

Oberlin outshot SU 60-20, had 65 of the game's 95 groundballs and won 18 of 26 face-offs.
The Hornets lone bright spot came on extra-man, where they converted three of five opportunities.
