STAUNTON, Va. E Shenandoah University ran its softball winning streak to four games Thursday afternoon with 11-0 and 16-2 victories over future USA South Conference opponent Mary Baldwin College.
Shenandoah (5-7) used big innings in both games against Mary Baldwin (0-14) to earn its fifth victory in its last eight games.
In game one, the Hornets jumped out early with three runs in the first before ending it with a five-run fifth. SophomoreÂ

The Fighting Squirrels actually led game two, 1-0, by scoring a single run in the first off of sophomoreÂ
AJ Lekki (3-2), but the Hornets seized control of the nightcap with seven runs in the third.
Leading 10-2 heading into the seventh, Shenandoah put up a six-spot to coast home to its largest victory of the spring.
Lekki allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits to post her third straight win. She struck out a season-high eight in her fifth complete game of the year.
