WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Roanoke College kept its women's tennis ODAC record perfect on the season with an 8-1 victory over Shenandoah Sunday afternoon.
The Maroons (13-1, 9-0 ODAC) kept their title hopes alive by sweeping the doubles and then clinching with wins in the final five singles matches.
Shenandoah (10-5, 5-5) got its win from sophomore Molly Barb at No. 1 singles.
Barb won in straight sets over Jennifer Antoszyk, 6-2, 6-0.
SU completes its regular season with a match at Hollins on Thursday. The Hornets have clinched an ODAC Tournament berth and are locked into the No. 6 seed. In this case, SU will travel to the No. 3 seed, most likely Bridgewater, for the opening round of the ODAC Tournament.
