ASHLAND, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's tennis team saw its season come to an end Saturday with a 5-0 loss to No. 3 Randolph-Macon in the ODAC Tournament quarterfinals.
Randolph-Macon (15-5) opened with three wins in doubles before clinching the match against sixth-seeded SU (11-6) by taking the first two singles matches.
Macon clinched the win with identical 6-0, 6-1 victories at Nos. 2 and 4 singles.
In doubles, the Yellow Jackets won 8-2 at both No. 1 and No. 2 and 8-4 at No. 3.
The loss concludes the second-best season in program history for Shenandoah.
