FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The Shenandoah women's tennis team wrapped up its participation at the ITA Regionals with a host of players participating Sunday.
Senior Shannon Allin and Molly Barb each played singles and doubles, with the duo dropping an 8-1 decision in the doubles round of 32 and a 6-1 decision in the consolation.
Allin fell 6-1, 6-0 to Krista Filiopoulos in singles.
Barb played two singles matches, losing 0-6, 6-2, 2-6 to Greta Koch in the round of 64 and to ninth-seeded Stacy Chang 8-1 in the consolation.
Amy Rapp and Jeannella Williams also combined in doubles while playing in the blue 6 and 5 singles draws, respectively.
Playing in the blue 3 doubles draw, the duo dropped a 9-7 decision in the round of 16 before coming back to win 8-0 in the opening consolation match.
Playing blue 5 singles, Williams lost 6-0, 6-2 to Stefana Vujinovic in the round of 16 before Erin Clay topped her 8-5 in the consolation.
Rapp lost to Alice Goldstein-Plesser 6-4, 6-2 in the round of 16 at Blue 6 before winning 9-7 over Skylar Oliwa in the opening consolation match.
In the consolation semi, Rapp dropped a 7-6 decision to Leah Thomsen.
This concludes the squad's fall season. They are back on the court February 7 versus Shippensburg.
