SALEM, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's tennis team had its winning streak snapped at four matches Saturday afternoon after dropping an 8-1 ODAC decision at Roanoke.
The doubles tandem of Molly Barb and Shannon Allin was the lone winner for the Hornets (6-2, 2-2 ODAC); Barb and Allin won 8-6 at No. 1.
Roanoke (4-4, 3-0) swept the remaining eight matches in straight sets.
Amber Lake and Jeannella Williams had the closest remaining match, falling 9-8 (5) at No. 2 doubles.
In singles, Barb's 6-3, 7-5 loss at No. 1 was the closest contest.
Shenandoah hosts perennial ODAC power Washington and Lee on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
