EMORY, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's tennis team won its sixth straight match Saturday afternoon with a 9-0 ODAC victory at Emory and Henry.
Shenandoah (12-3, 6-3 ODAC) needed to win just three contested matches as E&H (2-8, 1-8) defaulted at both No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
The doubles competition took to just one point from victory as Jeannella Williams and Amber Lake won 8-0 at No. 2 before Molly Barb and Shannon Allin were 8-4 winners at No. 1.
The Hornets swept the five singles matches, will all five women winning in straight sets.
Caitlin Tilton, with a win at love at No. 5, had the match clinching victory.
Amy Rapp followed with a win at love at No. 4 before Molly Barb won 6-1, 6-0 in the top singles match.
Williams won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3 and Allin 6-1, 7-5 at No. 2 to complete the shutout.
SU hosts Randolph on Tuesday in a 4 p.m. ODAC match with major tournament hosting implications.
