Women's Tennis Wins Third Straight

ROANOKE, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's tennis team ran its winning streak to three matches Sunday with a 7-2 ODAC victory over Hollins.

Shenandoah (7-4, 2-4) opened with two doubles wins before sweeping all but No. 4 singles to dispatch Hollins (1-10, 0-7).

Molly Barb and Caitlin Tilton were 8-1 victors at No. 1 doubles with Denise Vollmer and Kelsey Nicely winning 8-5 at No. 3.

Barb won at love at No. 1 singles with Tilton winning 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2.

Nicely was a 6-4, 6-2 winner at No. 3, Vollmer matched Tilton at No. 5 and Audrea Wright gutted out a 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) victory at No. 6 to provide the final margin of victory.

The women are now off until traveling to the Hill City next weekend to take on Randolph and Lynchburg colleges in a pair of ODAC matches.
