WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting Lynchburg College continued its solid women's tennis season with an 8-1 ODAC victory over Shenandoah Saturday afternoon.
Lynchburg (5-5, 2-1 ODAC) swept the three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead over SU (3-2, 1-1) and never looked back.
Alyssa White was the lone winner for Shenandoah, defeating Emily Simpson 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 singles.
The remaining five singles matches went in straight sets.
Melodie Madison had the closest match, falling 7-5, 6-1 at No. 3.
Shenandoah is back in action on Wednesday in a 4 p.m. ODAC match at national power Washington and Lee.
