BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Freshman Morgan Fuqua was the lone winner Wednesday as the Shenandoah University women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 ODAC decision at Bridgewater.

Fuqua was a 6-4, 6-2 victor for SU (3-5, 1-4 ODAC) at No. 1 singles.

Bridgewater (6-5, 5-2) dropped just seven games in sweeping the other five singles matches.

In doubles, Fuqua and Melodie Madison dropped a hard-fought 8-4 decision to Whitney Kiser and Nicole Shifflett at No. 1.

Shenandoah is back in action again on Saturday in an ODAC match at Emory and Henry.
