WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting Roanoke College won two of three doubles matches on its way to an 8-1 ODAC women's tennis victory over Shenandoah Saturday afternoon.

Morgan Fuqua and Madison Hansen earned that doubles win for the Hornets (2-3, 0-3), taking out Jessica Kennedy and Avery Smith 8-2 in the top match.

Roanoke (7-1, 2-1) rebounded with victories at love in the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles matchups.

Fuqua had the closest singles match, falling 6-2, 2-6, 0-1 (12-14) at No. 1.

Hansen and Alyssa White also had three set matches at Nos. 3 and 2 singles, respectively. White fell 6-7 (5-7), 6-1, 5-7 at No. 2 and Hansen 2-6, 6-3, 0-1 (4-10) at No. 3.

Shenandoah is back in action on Tuesday at home versus Hood.
