WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Bridgewater College earned its 10th win of its women's tennis season with a 9-0 shutout over Shenandoah University Wednesday evening.
The Eagles (10-6, 6-3 ODAC) dropped just four games in doubles in jumping out to a 3-0 lead over the Hornets (3-6, 1-4).
BC then clinched the victory with straight set wins at Nos. 2 and 6 singles.
Melodie Madison and Madison Rogers had the closest two matches for Shenandoah. Madison fell 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 and Rogers 6-1, 6-3 at No. 5.
In doubles, Madison Hansen and Alyssa White battled to an 8-4 loss at No. 1.
SU travels to the Hill City this weekend with ODAC matches at Lynchburg on Saturday and Randolph College Sunday.
