SWEET BRIAR, Va. - Host Sweet Briar swept the top three singles matches to defeat Shenandoah University 5-1 in ODAC women's tennis action Tuesday evening.

Playing to decision indoors at the Upchurch Fieldhouse, Sweet Briar (8-10, 4-7) won two of three doubles matches and the top three singles matches to down Shenandoah (3-9, 1-7).

Melodie Madison and Elizabeth Pardo had the lone win for SU, downing Lacey Tucker and Julia Bell 8-4 at No. 3 doubles.

The Vixens won the three singles matches in straight sets.

Shenandoah hosts ODAC leader Washington and Lee on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
