FOREST, Va. - Shenandoah University had three women's soccer players earn All-ODAC honors in selections announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office.
Senior forward
Emily Yergin, the leading scorer in program history, leads the picks as the Hornets lone first team selection. The Warrenton native is the first player in program history to be named first team All-ODAC in all four years of her career.
Junior
Abbie Marquette and sophomore
Maiya Pencile complete the honorees with third team nods at back and midfield, respectively.
Yergin leads the Hornets in goals this season with 13 and is second in scoring with 30 points. She was named as the ODAC Player of the Week on September 2 and October 14.
With at least one game to play, Yergin holds the all-time points record at Shenandoah with 148 and the goals record at 61.
Pencile leads Coach Liz Pike's squad with 31 points on 11 goals and nine assists. She has at least three points in six games this season with a season-high four points coming on a one-goal, two-assist performance versus Hollins on October 9.
Marquette leads the defense from her center back position and she has posted two goals and three assists this year while playing a third-best-on-team 1545 minutes.
Shenandoah now has 31 All-ODACÂ selections in seven seasons of league play with nine of those first team honorees.
