FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Host Mary Washington scored goals in the waning moments in each of the four quarters Saturday afternoon to key a 16-10 non-league men's lacrosse victory over Shenandoah.

Mary Washington (1-2) scored with four seconds to go in the first, 13 seconds remaining in the second, 21 seconds in the third, and 30 seconds in the fourth to hold off Shenandoah (1-1).

Chris Baker tied the game at 7-7 off a
Tyler Held assist at 11:03 of the third, UMW took control with a 4-1 run to end the stanza.
Dylan Pencek, off of another Held assist, had the Hornets goal during this spurt.

Mary Washington then closed out the game by scoring four of six fourth period goals. Held and
Jay Baker had Shenandoah's goals with
Jay Baker's tally coming off a feed from his twin brother,
Chris Baker.

Held paced the visitors with three goals and two assists with
Chris Baker adding two goals and two assists.
Logan Clingerman had two goals.

Mark Isabelle made 11 saves as Mary Washington peppered him with 45 shots.

Shenandoah was also 15-of-24 at the faceoff 'x' with
Austin Galler taking all but one draw. He had all 15 wins.
