WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's lacrosse team earned its second win of the season Wednesday evening with a 21-5 non-league home victory over Hood College.
Shenandoah (2-1) scored 12 of the game's first 14 goals to take total control over Hood (1-1).

A six-goal run to start the contest proved to be enough offense for the Hornets in its 2022 home opener.
Matt Daniel had the initial two goals of the game, scoring unassisted at 13:14 and then off of a
Max Myers assist nine seconds later.
Daniel just missed registering a natural hat trick as
Jay Baker scored at 12:30 before Daniel pumped in his third goal of the contest at 11:36.
Logan Clingerman and
Chris Baker goals closed out this game-opening six-goal run.
Baker did one better than Daniel by posting a natural hat trick – his goals at 3:01 and :20 of the first finished the first quarter scoring and gave the hosts an 8-2 lead.
Brock DiMauro had the lone goal of the second before
Jay Baker,
Tyler Held, and Myers scored the initial three goals of the third to push the hosts advantage out to 12-2.
Hood would see its deficit reduced to single digits for only 58 seconds of the remaining 22:20 of game time.
Shenandoah finished out the game by scoring seven of the game's final eight goals.
Held led the victors with four goals and three assists for seven points with
Chris Baker registering five points on three goals and two assists and Daniel scoring four goals.
Eleven men scored at least one point in the win.
Shenandoah outshot the Blazers, 46-21, had a 47-22 advantage in groundballs and won 17-of-30 faceoffs.
Mark Isabelle had eight saves in 47:44 of action. He allowed four goals.
