FERRUM, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's lacrosse team opened up its 2022 ODAC slate Saturday afternoon with a dominating 15-1 victory at Ferrum College.
Shenandoah (5-2, 1-0 ODAC) surpassed last season's win total with the victory over Ferrum (2-4, 0-2).

SU scored the initial 13 goals of the contest and held the Panthers off the board until the 5:44 mark of the fourth.
Coach
Tim Marshall's club had a 13-goal lead when Ferrum got its lone goal of the game and answered that tally by scoring the final two goals of the contest.
Logan Clingerman scored the opening goal of the game just 64 seconds in and
Chris Baker's goal off of a
Brock DiMauro assist at 9:12 of the first proved to be the game-winning-goal.
Zachary Heiderman and
Tyler Held led the victors with four goals each with Clingerman, Baker, and
Taylor Wright all scoring two goals.
Max Myers had the Hornets remaining goal.
SU outshot the Panthers, 62-17, had a 40-21 edge in groundballs and won 14 of the 20 faceoffs.
Mark Isabelle and
Isaac Graves split time in goal with Isabelle making two saves and Graves six.

Shenandoah opens up home ODAC play next Saturday with a 1 p.m. game versus Guilford.
