WINCHESTER, Va. – No. 18 Shenandoah University ran its baseball winning streak to six games Wednesday afternoon with an 11-2 non-league win over Dickinson College.
Shenandoah (8-1) scored six runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth to break open a close game versus the Red Devils (0-4).

Trailing 2-1 heading into the bottom of the sixth, SU scored six runs on four hits and a walk.
Ryan Clawson put the Hornets on top to stay with a two-run single to center before a
Pearce Bucher two-run double and a
Haden Madagan two-run home run to left.
Madagan's blast, his first of the season, made the score 6-2.
Four more runs came one inning later to push the SU advantage out to 10-2. Madagan's two-run single to left closed out the scoring in the frame.
Brian Fereira (1-0), the second of four Shenandoah pitchers, got the win. He gave up one hit, struck out two and walked two in 2.0 innings of relief work.
Ayden Shadle pitched the seventh and eighth and
Aaron Torres the ninth to close it out.
Starter
Mike Verzaleno allowed the two runs on three hits and one walk in pitching the initial four innings.
Madagan and Bucher both had two hits with
Frankie Ritter getting two. Madagan drove in four runs and
Ryan Clawson three.

Shenandoah hosts the first-ever Mr. V Memorial Classic this weekend with Keystone and Oswego (N.Y.) State. SU takes on Keystone in the opening game Friday afternoon at 3.
