WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's lacrosse team completed its non-league schedule Wednesday afternoon with an 18-4 victory over Allegheny College.
 
Shenandoah (7-2) won for the third straight time and sixth time in its last seven outings by scoring the first 11 goals of the game versus the Gators (1-5).
 
IN BRIEF
Tyler Held on the board just 1:45 to the contest on an unassisted tally and by the time the contest was 11 minutes old, the Hornets had enough offense to secure the victory.
 
Held and 
Zachary Heiderman each had two goals during this game-opening run.
 
Coach 
Tim Marshall's club led 7-0 after one and 13-1 by halftime. Six different men had at least one goal in jumping out to the 11-0 lead.
 
The reserves took center stage in the second half with the Hornets outscoring Allegheny by one goal in each of the final two stanzas.
 
Held had a game-high four goals with 
Jay Baker contributing two goals and two assists and Heiderman three goals. 
Logan Clingerman, 
James Stewart, 
Taylor Wright, and 
Max Myers all had two goals apiece.
 
Eleven men registered at least one point in the victory.
 
Mark Isabelle made two saves in the initial 30 minutes and 
Isaac Graves eight in the second half.
 
SU outshot the Gators, 48-28 and had a 40-31 advantage in groundballs. The two teams split 26 faceoffs.
 
UP NEXT
Shenandoah travels to the Hill City Saturday for a 1 p.m. ODAC contest at Randolph.
