WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision Wednesday afternoon to Division II Daemen College.
Shenandoah (3-3) had a 2-1 lead following doubles only to see the Wildcats (6-9) rally for the win.

The Wildcats earned the victory with a three-set triumph at No. 5 singles. Mackenzie Schayes outlasted
Kelly Hudak, 6-4, 0-6, 6-2, to give DC the comeback victory.
Schayes was in position to clinch the win as her teammates won in straight sets at Nos. 2, 3, and 4 singles.
The Hornets were one win from victory after
Jahveesha Combs won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 and
Jada Lewis, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 6.
Both women were double winners for the hosts. Combs had combined with
Natalia García Molina to win 8-7 at No. 1 doubles while Lewis and
Allison Cherwien were 8-4 victors at No. 3.
