Men's Lacrosse Falls to Seahawks

Hornets Drop 20-4 Non-league Decision

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - Host St. Mary's of Maryland held Shenandoah University off the board for the initial 52 minutes of Saturday's non-league men's lacrosse game on its way to a 20-4 victory.

Shenandoah (4-2) scored its initial goal of the contest on a Tyler Held to Zachary Heiderman tally with 7:33 remaining. St. Mary's (5-0) led 16-0 at that point.

IN BRIEF

SMCM scored two goals in the games first 90 seconds and never looked back; the 'Hawks led 5-0 after one and 11-0 at the break.
 
The hosts continued to play strong defensively in the third holding the Hornets scoreless for another frame.   

Held scored two goals exactly three minutes apart helping the Hornets cut down the deficit. He led the Hornets with two goals and three points. 

Jay Baker was able to score as well adding his eighth goal of the season. 

Each team controlled 13 faceoffs in the contest and Shenandoah goalkeepers combined for 17 saves. Mark Isabelle made 16 stops in 49:#
