WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's tennis team earned its first ODAC win of the season Sunday with a 5-0 victory over Guilford College.
Shenandoah (3-2, 1-1 ODAC) swept the doubles and won the No. 1 singles match before the contest was halted as a rainstorm came though the Winchester at approximately 3 p.m. ET.

A delay and a venue change ensued, and when play resumed inside at Winchester Country Club,
Ariella Stepleman put the finishing touches on her win at love at No. 3 singles by winning the final two points of her second set.
Jahveesha Combs and
Lily Kimble, at Nos. 2 and 4, respectively, then abandoned their matches. Both women had won their first sets with Combs ahead 4-1 in the second when Stepleman clinched the team result.
Natalia García Molina had the No. 1 singles victory, winning 6-0, 6-1 over Madyson Schreiber to put SU just one point from the team win.
In doubles, García Molina and Combs won 8-0 at No. 1, Stepleman and Kimble 8-1 at No. 2 and Allison Cherwein and
Jada Lewis 8-2 at No. 3.
UP NEXT
Shenandoah is off until hosting Marymount next Sunday, Mar. 13, in a noon non-league match.
