LEXINGTON, Va. – No. 18 Shenandoah University saw host Washington & Lee rally for a 6-5 ODAC baseball victory over the Hornets Tuesday afternoon.
Shenandoah (10-4, 0-1 ODAC) led 4-1 after scoring one run in the fourth and three in the fifth only to see W&L score twice in the sixth and three times in the seventh to steal the win.

The Hornets cut their deficit in half with a run in the eighth and got a leadoff double in the ninth, but could not push across the tying run.
Generals reliever Evan Blair worked out of the jam by getting a popout on an attempted sacrifice bunt and then striking out the final two SU hitters.
Blair (1-1) pitched the final five innings and earned the win after allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out seven.
Mike Verzaleno (1-1) took the loss for Shenandoah. He gave up two runs on four hits in one inning of work.
The top three hitters in the SU lineup,
Frankie Ritter,
Henry Delavergne, and
Kyle Lisa, all had three hits with Lisa hitting a three-run home run in the fifth.
Ryan Clawson was 2-for-4 and had that leadoff double in the ninth.
