WINCHESTER, Va. – No. 25 Shenandoah University ran its baseball winning streak to four games Wednesday afternoon with an 8-4 non-league victory over Mary Washington.
After Mary Washington (15-16) scored one run in the top of the first, Shenandoah (21-8-1) answered with a pair in the bottom of the frame and never trailed again.

Henry Delavergne gave the Hornets that lead for good with his sixth home run of the season, a two-run shot to right center, to put SU up 2-1.
Senior
Calvin Pastel (5-0) took that lead and ran with it, tossing the first 8.0 innings and allowing one run on eight hits while striking out six.
Sitting at 104 pitches following the eighth, Pastel turned it over to relievers
Cade Templeton and
Matt Barnes to finish it up. Barnes got the final three outs and struck out two.
Shenandoah padded its lead with two runs in the fifth, three in the sixth, and one more in the seventh.
Pearce Bucher produced that final run with a solo home run, his fourth of the season, in the seventh.
Mary Washington scored three runs on five hits and a walk in the ninth.

Kyle Lisa driving in three runs and Delavergne two.
Lisa had a two-run triple in the fifth and a sacrifice fly in the sixth.
