Kindig Earns All-America Honors

Finishes Eighth in Hammer Throw

GENEVA, Ohio – Tucker Kindig '22 earned All-America honors Saturday with an eighth-place finish in the men's hammer at the 2022 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
 
Kindig, the two-time ODAC champion in the hammer, uncorked a throw of 58.43 meters (185'1") on his first toss to earn the eighth place showing and All-America accolades.
 
Placed into the first flight, Kindig's initial throw won that grouping and advanced him into the finals.
 
His toss, just off of his personal best of 57.02 meters (187"1"), was nearly a meter better than ninth-place Blake Orr from Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a touch more than a meter back of seventh-place Alex Kristeller from Widener.
 
Jude Misko from Rutgers-Camden won it with a 60.42 meter (198'2") throw.
 
Kindig is the first All-America in men's outdoor track & field program history and the second overall. Elijah Morton '20, '22 earned his honor following the 2020 indoor season.
