WINCHESTER, Va. – Third-seeded Shenandoah University punched its ticket to the 2022 ODAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament semi-finals with a 17-6 quarterfinal round victory over Randolph-Macon Wednesday evening.

Shenandoah (12-6) led 8-5 at the break before scoring nine straight goals to run away from the Yellow Jackets (8-11).

IN BRIEF
The run was actually 11 straight goals – leading 6-5 after R-MC scored 75 seconds before halftime, SU scored twice in the final minute (58 second and 10 seconds) to take the three-goal lead into the half.

Emily Onorato had that first goal before
Reilly Cisar tucked one off-stick side high just inside the right post to make it 8-5.

Shenandoah then went out and dominated in the third quarter, scoring six times, to lead 14-5 heading into the final stanza.

Cisar, who led all scorers with eight goals, had a natural hat trick to start the fourth. Her tally at 14:02 got the running clock started before she scored again at 8:33 and 5:09.

Macon scored the game's final goal at 3:15. That goal snapped a 28-minute scoreless streak for the 'Jackets.

In addition to Cisar's eight goals,
Emma Stiffler had a goal and five assists with Onorato chipping in two goals and three assists.

Ashley MacFarlane made 10 saves with seven of them coming in the first half.

SU outshot R-MC, 37-25, had an 18-11 advantage on groundballs, and won 15 of 25 draws.

The win evens the all-time ODAC-era series at seven wins apiece and is the second for SU in three lifetime ODAC Tournament meetings between the two programs.
