Women's Tennis Wraps Up Fall Competition

Box Score BUENA VISTA, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's tennis team lost its first dual match of the season, 3-6, in a road match at Southern Virginia University on Wednesday.

The Knights (5-0) won two doubles and four singles matches to take the victory over the Hornets (0-1).

In doubles, Ariella Stepleman and Allison Cherwein won their match on court two for Shenandoah. The duo won 8-7 thanks to a 7-5 tiebreaker win.

Stepleman added another victory to her day in singles. On court three she defeated SVU's Jillian Arnold 10-8 in a tiebreaker after winning the second set 6-5.

The final point for Shenandoah came on court six as Emily Hatseras swept her opponent 6-0 in sets one and two.

UP NEXT

Shenandoah has the rest of the fall off before traveling to Salisbury on February 18, 2024 to begin the spring portion of its season.
