Men's Basketball Extends Winning Streak to Five

WASHINGTON D.C. - The Shenandoah University men's basketball team advanced its winning streak to five games with a 70-59 win at Gallaudet University on Saturday afternoon.

The Hornets (5-0) took the win behind a strong first half and three different double-digit scorers against the Bisons (0-7).

RECAP
After Gallaudet scored the first points of the game, Sheandoah went on a 10-0 run across the next four minutes as Evan Makle made the team's first eight points. A three-pointer from Malik Jordan and points from Binwi Bihai gave the Hornets a 10-point lead with seven minutes to go in the half.

Shenandoah took a 15-point advantage to the break as Davion Roberts hit a fastbreak layup in the final minute of the first. Roberts started the second hot as he buried a three on the team's first possession of the half.

The Hornets gained a 29-point lead, their largest of the game, as Bihai scored in the paint with 14:17 to go. The giant lead helped Shenandoah hold onto the win as the Bisons held SU scoreless across the final 4:45 of the game.

Nineteen different Hornets saw action in the game as Williams (15), Makle (12), and Roberts (10) led the team in points.

Nic Pullem grabbed five boards, a team-high. Shenandoah made double the threes that the opposition made.
