WESTMINSTER, Md. – A nine-goal first quarter keyed a 17-7 non-league women's lacrosse victory for Shenandoah University over McDaniel College Wednesday evening.
The Hornets (2-0) scored their initial goal 48 seconds into the contest and added eight more in the first 15 minutes to dominate the Green Terror (1-1).

Bell, who finished with three goals, first pushed the margin into double digits with her goal off of a Re assist with 4:01 to play in the second.
Shenandoah held at least a nine-goal lead for the final 40:12 of the contest and the running clock remained in effect over the last 9:29.
Raspanti led all scorers with five goals with Re and Stiffler matching Bell with three goals each. Buckner, who had eight goals Saturday in the season-opening victory over Meredith, dished out a game-high four assists.
Re had three assists to give her six points on the night with Stiffler adding two assists to her three goals.
Paige Padberg rounded out the multiple-point scorers with two assists.
Ashley MacFarlane made three saves in 45 minutes with
Madison Perry turning away one shot in playing the fourth quarter.

The Hornets continue this road trip with a non-league contest at Mary Washington Saturday. Opening draw is set for noon.
