WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's tennis team completed its regular season Tuesday afternoon with a 6-3 ODAC victory over Bridgewater.
Shenandoah (10-8, 7-3 ODAC) expanded on its 2-1 lead after doubles by winning four of the six singles matches versus the Eagles (5-11, 3-7).

Jahveesha Combs and
Lily Kimble got the day started on a positive note with an 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles.
Kelly Hudak and
Allison Cherwien, playing No. 2, were next off the court after emerging victorious, 8-5.
Combs, with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles, earned the Hornets third point. Bridgewater knotted the match at 3-3 by winning in straight sets at Nos. 3 and 4 before Hudak put SU one point from clinching with a 6-1, 6-2 triumph at No. 2.
Now needing just one win at either No. 5 or 6 singles, the Hornets took all the drama out of the remainder of the match with
Jada Lewis winning 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5 and
Erin Talko, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 6. Talko's win was the match-clincher.
The 10
th win makes it two years in a row that the women have reached double-digit victories in a season.
UP NEXT
Shenandoah awaits the official announcement of the ODAC Tournament pairings this weekend. The quarterfinal round is Wednesday with seeds 1 through 4 hosting.
