RICHMOND, Va. – No. 2/2 Shenandoah University earned its third win of the ODAC Baseball Tournament with an 11-2 victory over Roanoke College Thursday afternoon.
Shenandoah (37-6) scored five runs in the third and three more in the seventh to pull away from the Maroons (27-16).

In the third, the Hornets combined five hits with a pair of Roanoke errors to score the five runs.
Pearce Bucher, one of five SU players to have multiple hits on the day, had an RBI single with
Haden Madagan and
Ryan Clawson following with the same.
In the fifth, Bucher had a solo home run to left center before
Kyle Lisa doubled down the left field line to plate Clawson.
This offense was more than enough for starter
Jacob Bell. Bell (8-0) scattered four hits and four walks over six innings while striking out seven.
Brian Ferreira pitched the seventh and eighth before
Tristan Everett had a scoreless ninth to close out the contest.
Bucher, Madagan, Lisa, and
Frankie Ritter all had two hits with Clawson leading the way thanks to a 3 for 4 day that included an RBI and a run scored.
Kooper Anderson had a two-run double in the seventh to help the Hornets to a three-spot in the frame.
In addition to Bucher's home run, Madagan had a solo shot to lead off the eighth. He now leads the program with seven home runs.
Ritter is now three hits from the ODAC career record of 272 and five from the Shenandoah record.

Shenandoah takes on top-seeded and No. 5 in the nation Lynchburg Friday at 1 p.m. in the winner's bracket final. The winner of that contest will have two chances to claim the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. This game, like all this weekend, will be played at Pitt Field on the University of Richmond campus.
