Track and Field Finishes Weekend at VMI

LEXINGTON, Va. - The Shenandoah University track and field team partook in the second day of the VMI Invitational on Saturday.

Shenandoah had six top-10 finishes today with William Crowder being one of three people to finish at 6.92 seconds in the men's 60m dash.

In the men's 800m, Noah Hurd placed sixth in the race with a season-best time of 1:59.85. Devin Kohout finished three spots behind Hurd with a mark of 2:01.41 in the same race.

The only top-10 finisher in the field for SU was Mekhi Mims over at the men's high jump. Mims was tied for 10th with a jump of 1.77m.

For the women Makenna Thrush and Madeline Lotts finished eighth and 10th, respectively, in the one-mile run. Thrush finished eight seconds faster than Lotts with a time of 5:17.58.

Sarah Sidoro, Alexis Hubbard, Haley Van Voorhis, and Kaitlyn Ruiz made up the Hornets' team in the 4x400 relay. The quartet finished in the top half of the race with a mark of 4:12.58.
