Women's Tennis Drops Non-Conference Match at Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. - The Shenandoah University women's tennis team continued its weekend with a 7-2 loss at Salisbury University on Sunday morning in a non-conference contest.

The Hornets (0-3) gained a point on court one during doubles and got their second point in singles over on court six in the match versus the Sea Gulls (3-0).

HOW IT HAPPENED

Tanea Spruill and Olivia Guzzo went the distance in an 8-6 win during their doubles outing. This was the first win this season during a dual match for the duo.

On court six, Emily Hatseras swept the competition in two sets. The first-year won the first set 7-6 and took the second set more decisively, winning 6-3.

In two other single matches, the Hornets went up after one set but the Sea Gulls fought back to eventually win in a tiebreaking third set.

Shenandoah hosts Hollins on March 2nd in the first ODAC home match of the season for SU.
