Women's Tennis Defeated By East Texas Baptist

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Shenandoah University women's tennis team lost 8-1 on Thursday in a non-conference neutral site game against East Texas Baptist University.

The Hornets (1-5) picked up a victory in doubles but were held winless in singles against the Tigers (9-0).

Emily Hatseras and Erin Talko paired up for the only Hornets' win of the day in an 8-5 decision on court three during doubles.

Hatseras and Olivia Guzzo each went to a decisive third set in their singles matches. The two Hornets led after one set but each dropped the next two sets.

UP NEXT

Shenandoah plays tomorrow morning against Dickinson in the final match of spring break.
