HOW IT HAPPENED:
- McDaniel won the opening face-off and quickly marched down the field to apply pressure on the Hornets' defense.
- After back-to-back turnovers from both teams, McDaniel got the ball back and Jonathan Hammond caused a turnover on the Green Terror and got the ground ball. Josh Boonshaft and Bryan Berryhill each fired shots, but could not cash in.

- Austin Galler won the face-off off and Clark Harrity picked up the ground ball, three straight shots from Stephen Graham, two wide shots, and a save, but still had the Hornets down 2-0.
- McDaniel added two more goals in the first to take a 4-0 lead with under five minutes left in the first. Before the Green Terror's fourth goal, Sam Poster had a good look but the McDaniel goalie made one of his 22 saves on the night.
- The Hornets continued to apply pressure, as Logan Clingerman kept firing shots as a shot rattled off the post.
- Shenandoah finally got on the board with just over a minute to go in the quarter when Luke Petrie finally beat the goalie, Logan Clingerman assisted on the goal.
- In the second, both offenses hit a wall as each team only scored one goal. Stephen Graham struck first for the Hornets making it a 4-2 game.
- In the quarter the Hornets fired 13 shots, but as mentioned only scored on one shot.
- McDaniel pushed it back to a 5-2 lead with 5:07 left in the half. Isabelle made three of his eight saves in the quarter.
- After the break, McDaniel held Shenandoah scoreless in the third, while scoring four goals themselves. Shenandoah fired nine shots toward the cage.
- In the fourth, McDaniel struck first for two goals to make it an 11-2 game with under 10 to play.
- Austin Galler took over in the fourth winning face-offs and leading the pressure for the Hornets. Clingerman finally figured out the defense and scored two goals in a minute. His first goal of the fourth came off an assist from Luke Petrie. Galler won another face-off before Clingerman hit the post again. On the restart, Clingerman found the back of the net from an assist from Stephen Graham.
- McDaniel took advantage of a Shenandoah turnover as they stopped the Hornet run to push it back to a 12-4 lead.
- Austin Galler won three face offs in a row, two led directly to goals. The first was Josh Boonshaft from Austin Sydnor, then Galler won the face-off and ran straight down the middle of the field and found an open Logan Clingerman to complete the hat trick.
- One more face-off win from Galler, but that Clingerman goal was the last one the Hornets would score, as Shenandoah fell 12-6.
