- It only took 30 seconds into the second for Lynchburg to make it an 8-0 game, off a Shenandoah face-off win, and then a turnover.
- Lynchburg cashed in on another turnover which led to another goal and a 9-0 lead.
- As the Hornet offense was trying to get some momentum, Shenandoah got shots from Jet Hayes, Sam Poster, and Luke Petrie. This time it was Shenandoah taking advantage of a Lynchburg turnover and failed clear attempt that led to their first goal from Tyler Held, his 6th of the season.
- Lynchburg however, ended the half on a 5-0 run and took a 14-1 lead into the break.
- After the break, the comeback was on. First, it was Clark Harrity taking advantage of a Lynchburg turnover and scoring to make it 14-2.

- Four more shots from Shenandoah led to Tyler Held's hat trick for the game.
- On the ensuing face-off, Braxton Snead won the face-off and picked up the ground ball. Tyler Held then picked up a ground ball and cashed in on for his fourth goal of the game to make it 15-8.
- With 3 minutes left in the game, Logan Clingerman scored his first goal of the game off an assist from Josh Boonshaft.
- Lynchburg won the next face off, but a turnover caused by Zack Dobson, led to the Dylan Foughty goal.
- With the Hornets on the man-up opportunity, Josh Boonshaft found Logan Clingerman for the second time with under 2 minutes to play in the game, but Lynchburg built too big of a lead and held on for the 15-11 win.
