FOREST, Va. - Senior guard Dorain Davis earned ODAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career on Monday, as announced by the conference.

Davis helped the Hornets to a 2-0 week with 14 defensive rebounds, five steals, and two blocks throughout the pair of games.

The guard started the week with a nine-rebound, one-steal performance against Penn State Schuylkill. Davis also scored 11 points and dished out one assist in the 87-64 win over the Lions at home.

The very next day, in an 80-74 win over Lancaster Bible College, Davis had four steals and two blocks, while leading the Hornets with 22 points. With the Hornets up by seven late in the game, Davis picked up a steal, which led to a dunk by Joseph Baldwin to put SU up nine with just over a minute left. Both of the seniors blocks came in the first half, helping the Hornets keep a 15-point advantage at halftime.

This is the second ODAC Player of the Week award for SU this season, after Ellis Wright earned the award last week. Shenandoah is 6-0 for the second time in three years. ODAC competition begins on Wednesday with a trip to Bridgewater for the Hornets.
