MINNEAPOLIS, Mn. – Postseason honors continue to roll in for the Shenandoah University baseball program, as D3baseball.com released its 2025 All-America teams. This year, the Hornets are represented by Liam Stewart as a Third Team All-American and Jaime Padilla as a Fifth Team All-American.
First-year pitcher Liam Stewart earned third team honors after a standout debut season. Stewart was named the Region Six Rookie of the Year. He made 17 appearances, including one start, and recorded an impressive 2.03 ERA and 0.93 WHIP (walks and hits per inning pitched). He posted a 3-1 record with two saves over 40 innings pitched, allowing only 20 hits and 10 earned runs while striking out 55 batters. Opponents hit just .149 against him.
Jaime Padilla led the way offensively for the Hornets with a .418 batting average. He led the team with 71 hits, including 20 doubles, two triples, and five home runs. Padilla also tallied a team-high 52 runs scored and drove in 42 runs, while drawing 30 walks. The junior center fielder stole 14 bases, registered an OPS of 1.159, slugged .647, and had an on-base percentage of .512.
Both Stewart and Padilla earned All-ODAC First Team honors and were named to the D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings All-Region teams. The next round of awards will be the ABCA/Rawlings All-America selections, scheduled to be announced on Thursday, May 29.
