FOREST, Va. - Shenandoah University junior

Andes-Stowell anchored a Hornets defense that held the Cougars to 197 total yards of offense in the team's 38-20 victory on Saturday.
He tallied nine total tackles (6 solo, 3 assisted), 3.0 tackles for loss, and 1 sack on the day, highlighted by a 4-yard tackle for loss on a 3rd and Goal from the 1-yard line - a play that would help the defense force a turnover on downs the next play.
Late in the first quarter, he blocked an Averett punt that gave the Hornets' offense a short field, allowing them to score and extend their early lead to 14-0.
The junior, coming off of a third-team all-ODAC season, currently has 19 tackles on the year, including 5.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks.
Andes-Stowell and the Hornets return to action this Saturday, October 17th for a home ODAC contest against Roanoke.
