FOREST, Va. - In the 2026 ODAC Preseason Poll, the Shenandoah University women's tennis team was selected fifth in the 12-team ranking, earning 72 points.
Washington and Lee University, the winners of the last 22 ODAC Championships, are at the top of the poll with 11 first-place votes, while Averett University and Virginia Wesleyan University are ranked second and third, respectively. The Generals are currently ranked 19th in the country in the ITA rankings.
Randolph College sits just ahead of the Hornets, and the University of Lynchburg, Guilford College, and Randolph-Macon College make up the middle of the poll, just behind SU.Â
Sweet Briar College is tied for eighth with the Yellow Jackets. Roanoke College, Bridgewater College, and Hollins University round out the final three spots.
Shenandoah won six ODAC games last season and made its fifth appearance in the ODAC Tournament. The Hornets brought two first-year players in this season and welcomed back five players from the 2024-25 season.
