Banks Earns Fourth ODAC Weekly Award of the Season

FOREST, Va. - Addisyn Banks earned her fourth ODAC Player of the Week award of the season for women's basketball, third on the defensive side of the ball, as announced Monday by the league.

Banks, in two wins this week, gathered 17 rebounds, nine steals, and four blocks in the games versus Virginia Wesleyan and Hollins. Offensively, she scored 36 points and added nine assists in the pair of conference games.

In the 67-60 win over the Marlins on Wednesday, Banks had six steals and three blocks, with six defensive boards. She had three steals in each half and added her three blocks in the second half, with two coming in the third.

On Saturday in the 68-56 win against Hollins, the forward/guard had 11 rebounds, three steals, a block, and led the team with 19 points. By halftime, Banks already had a double-double, with 10 rebounds and 11 points.

The junior currently leads the Hornets in scoring, assists, steals, and blocks with four games left in the regular season. Banks is top five in the ODAC in points per game, assists per game, and total steals.

The Hornets are back in action this Wednesday with a road conference game at Randolph-Macon.
