Women's Tennis Drops Non-Conference Match at Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. - The Shenandoah University women's tennis team was defeated 6-1 on the road on Saturday at Salisbury University in non-conference action.

The Hornets (0-3) earned their lone win of the day at No. 6 singles. The victory came from Leigha Montrief, who won a three-set battle, 6-1, 3-6, 6-1.

The Sea Gulls (2-1) took four singles duals in straight sets, plus a three-set win at No. 5. The home team also won all three doubles matches.

UP NEXT

Shenandoah plays Hardin-Simmons University next Sunday, March 8, for the team's first match of spring break.
