Women's Tennis Downed by Yellow Jackets

Box Score ASHLAND, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's tennis team was defeated 5-2 at Randolph-Macon College on Friday in an ODAC match.

The Yellow Jackets (5-2, 3-1 ODAC) won all four of their singles matches in straight sets and took the team point from doubles with a 6-3 win at No. 2 and a 6-4 victory at No. 3.

Olivia Guzzo took her match at singles No. 2 for the Hornets (1-7, 0-2) by the score of 6-2, 2-6, 6-0. Guzzo also won her match in the top doubles spot, teaming with Atlee Hilliard for a 6-1 decision.

Kendra Gillette rallied back at No. 5 after falling in the first for a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 win to earn the second team point for the Hornets.

UP NEXT

Shenandoah is at Sweet Briar this Sunday for an ODAC match at 1 p.m.
