Christie and 'B' Team Win Cardinal Spring Classic

The Shenandoah University men's golf's 'B' team won the 2026 Cardinal Spring Classic on Sunday, completing the two-round tournament with a team score of 602 (+26). The Hornets carded a 298 on Saturday in the first round and a 304 on Sunday.

Connor Chirstie won the tournament with a 146 (+2) in the tournament, defeating the 62 other golfers. Christie started the tournament with a 72 (E) on Saturday and finished with a 74 (+2) on Sunday. Throughout the weekend, Christie made five birdies and 25 pars.

Connor Reinhard placed third overall, carding a 150 (+6). Three birdies in the first round helped him score a 73 (+1) before rounding out his score with a 77 (+5) on Sunday.

Will Gronlund tied for fourth, finishing one stroke behind Reinhard with a 151 (+7). The senior landed an eagle on hole one during his first round and carded a 74 (+2). Then on Sunday, Gronlund made four birdies to score a 77 (+5).

Will McClintock started his weekend with a 79 (+7) and concluded the tournament with a 78 (+6) to record a two-round score of 157 (+13), tying for 18th. McClintock had four birdies throughout the tournament.

Louie Maniacci wrapped up the weekend for SU, tying for 24th with a 159 (+15). Four birdies helped Maniacci card an 83 (+11) in the first round. He later improved his score by seven strokes in the second round, scoring a 76 (+4).

UP NEXT

The Hornets' 'A' team plays at the Sam Sneed Intercollegiate on Monday in the two-day tournament.
